TED TALK~Meet the mom who started the ice-bucket challenge

Nancy Frate is the one who started the ice-bucket challenge  to call the public's attention to the disease, ALS.  This is an incurable disease, which means people can only see the patient gradually weakening day in and day out.  She's such a brave mother for she positively faced the music and turned it into a motivating story.  I think it must be a hard work and twisted with some complicated feelings.   When  I witness my kids suffering from some diseases or accidents, it really tortures a mother's heart; therefore, it mush be a strong bondage among the family members and deep faith, which allow them to share and embrace each other at the hard times.  Without the family link, the patient and the carers suffer alone, it hurts to be left alone.  Without firm faith, people tend to complain, and it's also not good to health.
She attributed her courage to her ALS-diagnosed son, Pete, whom she described as proactive and forward-looking.  They remind me of the saying " A sufferer has no right to pessimism." They're not just brave fighters but profound philosophers as well, undergoing the torment and enlightening people at the same time .
